What people use Facebook proxies for
Facebook links accounts through shared signals, and the network is one of the strongest. Two logins from the same hosting address are a connection the platform can draw without any other evidence.
Separate endpoints give each account its own exit address, so the network signal stops being the thing that ties them together. Everything else about the session then has to be consistent too.
- Give each account you manage its own address instead of a shared one.
- Check whether an ad or page renders for a specific country.
- Read public page and group content from the market you are studying.
Why Facebook answers differently from a hosting address
What makes it awkward
A residential address on an account that suddenly switches timezone, language and device is still a mismatch. The address is one signal, and the others have to agree with it.
Where the location changes the answer
Ad rendering, Marketplace listings and local groups are all country- or city-specific. Set targeting when the question is what a user in that market sees, not merely whether the request succeeds.
Country, region and city targeting are set per endpoint in the generator, and geo-targeting explains how narrow to go.
How to route Facebook through a proxy
Three steps, and the same three on every target in this section, because the product works the same way each time.
- 1
Generate an endpoint
Open your Mobile product, go to the Proxy tab, pick the protocol and sub-user, and set the country you need. Copy the endpoint in URL format.
- 2
Point Facebook traffic at it
Pass the endpoint to whatever makes the request: a proxy flag, a client setting, or a proxy field in the tool. HTTP is accepted everywhere; SOCKS5 is there when a client insists on it.
- 3
Verify the exit before you trust the data
Check the endpoint, read the exit IP, and look up its country and ISP. Do this before a run, not after: a silent bypass and a working proxy look identical until you read the address behind your Facebook request.
Generating endpoints is covered field by field in Generating Proxy Endpoints, and every format the dashboard can copy is in Proxy Formats and Exports.
