What people use Indeed proxies for
Indeed serves a per-country site with its own listings, salary figures and employer pages. Job counts and pay ranges are therefore regional facts.
It is also one of the more actively defended job boards, and it applies limits by address well before it considers anything else.
- Collect listings for a role and location.
- Track posting volume for a market over time.
- Compare salary ranges across regions.
Why Indeed answers differently from a hosting address
What makes it awkward
Listing pages are partly rendered and results paginate deeply, so a shallow crawl looks like a market trend when it is a pagination artefact. Bound the crawl explicitly.
Where the location changes the answer
Country targeting picks the site; city targeting is what makes a local labour-market read meaningful.
Country, region and city targeting are set per endpoint in the generator, and geo-targeting explains how narrow to go.
How to route Indeed through a proxy
Three steps, and the same three on every target in this section, because the product works the same way each time.
- 1
Generate an endpoint
Open your Residential product, go to the Proxy tab, pick the protocol and sub-user, and set the country you need. Copy the endpoint in URL format.
- 2
Point Indeed traffic at it
Pass the endpoint to whatever makes the request: a proxy flag, a client setting, or a proxy field in the tool. HTTP is accepted everywhere; SOCKS5 is there when a client insists on it.
- 3
Verify the exit before you trust the data
Check the endpoint, read the exit IP, and look up its country and ISP. Do this before a run, not after: a silent bypass and a working proxy look identical until you read the address behind your Indeed request.
Generating endpoints is covered field by field in Generating Proxy Endpoints, and every format the dashboard can copy is in Proxy Formats and Exports.
