What people use Ozon proxies for
Ozon is one of the two large general marketplaces in Russia, and its catalogue is served to a Russian address. A request from outside the country meets a different page, a redirect, or a refusal before the listing is ever read.
Prices and delivery windows are regional on top of that, since most fulfilment runs from regional warehouses and the fee depends on the destination.
- Collect pricing and seller data for a category.
- Track stock and delivery windows by region.
- Watch a competitor's listing changes over time.
Why Ozon answers differently from a hosting address
What makes it awkward
The marketplace gates more of the catalogue than it used to, and some pages are only complete once the client renders them. Read what the page actually serves rather than assuming a full product record.
Where the location changes the answer
Country targeting is required rather than optional. City targeting changes delivery estimates and regional availability, which is where most Ozon questions actually sit.
Country, region and city targeting are set per endpoint in the generator, and geo-targeting explains how narrow to go.
How to route Ozon through a proxy
Three steps, and the same three on every target in this section, because the product works the same way each time.
- 1
Generate an endpoint
Open your Residential product, go to the Proxy tab, pick the protocol and sub-user, and set the country you need. Copy the endpoint in URL format.
- 2
Point Ozon traffic at it
Pass the endpoint to whatever makes the request: a proxy flag, a client setting, or a proxy field in the tool. HTTP is accepted everywhere; SOCKS5 is there when a client insists on it.
- 3
Verify the exit before you trust the data
Check the endpoint, read the exit IP, and look up its country and ISP. Do this before a run, not after: a silent bypass and a working proxy look identical until you read the address behind your Ozon request.
Generating endpoints is covered field by field in Generating Proxy Endpoints, and every format the dashboard can copy is in Proxy Formats and Exports.
