What people use StubHub proxies for
StubHub prices are set by sellers and shown in the local currency of the site you reach, so the same seat has a different listed price depending on the market you ask from. The inventory underneath differs too, because listings are local.
Its public event pages are readable without a login, and its checks are rate-based rather than credential-based.
- Collect resale price ranges for an event.
- Track inventory depth as an event approaches.
- Compare the same event across two country sites.
Why StubHub answers differently from a hosting address
What makes it awkward
Fees and currency are applied per site, so a price compared across markets without normalising both is not a comparison. Store the currency and the fee basis alongside the number.
Where the location changes the answer
Country and city should match the venue. Reading from another market returns different inventory rather than the same inventory at another price.
Country, region and city targeting are set per endpoint in the generator, and geo-targeting explains how narrow to go.
How to route StubHub through a proxy
Three steps, and the same three on every target in this section, because the product works the same way each time.
- 1
Generate an endpoint
Open your Residential product, go to the Proxy tab, pick the protocol and sub-user, and set the country you need. Copy the endpoint in URL format.
- 2
Point StubHub traffic at it
Pass the endpoint to whatever makes the request: a proxy flag, a client setting, or a proxy field in the tool. HTTP is accepted everywhere; SOCKS5 is there when a client insists on it.
- 3
Verify the exit before you trust the data
Check the endpoint, read the exit IP, and look up its country and ISP. Do this before a run, not after: a silent bypass and a working proxy look identical until you read the address behind your StubHub request.
Generating endpoints is covered field by field in Generating Proxy Endpoints, and every format the dashboard can copy is in Proxy Formats and Exports.
