Need more than 800 GB?
Self-serve ends at the top volume tier. Above it we quote a custom rate with the same pool, the same quality filter and a named contact.
- Volume above the self-serve ladder
- Custom per-GB rate
- Dedicated pool allocation
- Priority support and onboarding
- Invoicing and procurement paperwork
- Uptime and support commitments
What people use Upwork proxies for
Upwork prices work in a marketplace where the visible rate depends on the client's location, the category and the currency of the account. Reading it as a single global figure flattens the thing that makes it useful.
The job feed is public, and the site rate-limits by address rather than by account for its public pages.
- Collect posted rates for a skill in a market.
- Track demand volume for a category over time.
- Compare the same role's advertised range across two client markets.
Why Upwork answers differently from a hosting address
What makes it awkward
Rates are quoted per contract and per currency, and hourly and fixed-price posts are not comparable without conversion. Normalise units before you compare anything.
Where the location changes the answer
Country targeting changes the client mix and the currency you are shown. City targeting adds little unless the question is about a local client base.
Country, region and city targeting are set per endpoint in the generator, and geo-targeting explains how narrow to go.
How to route Upwork through a proxy
Three steps, and the same three on every target in this section, because the product works the same way each time.
- 1
Generate an endpoint
Open your Residential product, go to the Proxy tab, pick the protocol and sub-user, and set the country you need. Copy the endpoint in URL format.
- 2
Point Upwork traffic at it
Pass the endpoint to whatever makes the request: a proxy flag, a client setting, or a proxy field in the tool. HTTP is accepted everywhere; SOCKS5 is there when a client insists on it.
- 3
Verify the exit before you trust the data
Check the endpoint, read the exit IP, and look up its country and ISP. Do this before a run, not after: a silent bypass and a working proxy look identical until you read the address behind your Upwork request.
Generating endpoints is covered field by field in Generating Proxy Endpoints, and every format the dashboard can copy is in Proxy Formats and Exports.
