Self-serve ends at the top volume tier. Above it we quote a custom rate with the same pool, the same quality filter and a named contact.
- Volume above the self-serve ladder
- Custom per-GB rate

- Invoicing and procurement paperwork
- Uptime and support commitments
What people use X proxies for
X serves a great deal of public content without a login, but it rate-limits aggressively by address. Once one address hits the limit, every request through it fails until the window resets, which is why a single connection cannot carry a collection run.
Spreading requests across a pool changes that arithmetic. Each address gets its own allowance, and sticky sessions keep a multi-step read coherent.
- Read public timelines and search results at a rate one address cannot sustain.
- Compare what a topic looks like in two different countries.
- Collect post metadata for research without exhausting a single allowance.
Why X answers differently from a hosting address
What makes it awkward
The public endpoints are the ones worth using: the rendered page is a client application that costs far more bandwidth per post than the JSON behind it.
Where the location changes the answer
Trends and search results are regional. Country targeting is what makes a comparison between two markets meaningful rather than an artefact of one address.
Country, region and city targeting are set per endpoint in the generator, and geo-targeting explains how narrow to go.
How to route X through a proxy
Three steps, and the same three on every target in this section, because the product works the same way each time.
- 1
Generate an endpoint
Open your Residential product, go to the Proxy tab, pick the protocol and sub-user, and set the country you need. Copy the endpoint in URL format.
- 2
Point X traffic at it
Pass the endpoint to whatever makes the request: a proxy flag, a client setting, or a proxy field in the tool. HTTP is accepted everywhere; SOCKS5 is there when a client insists on it.
- 3
Verify the exit before you trust the data
Check the endpoint, read the exit IP, and look up its country and ISP. Do this before a run, not after: a silent bypass and a working proxy look identical until you read the address behind your X request.
Generating endpoints is covered field by field in Generating Proxy Endpoints, and every format the dashboard can copy is in Proxy Formats and Exports.
