Download an Invoice
How to download an invoice as a PDF and how to open the hosted invoice page, plus what to do when an invoice is missing from the table.
Last updated
Every row on the Billing page has two actions in its Invoice column.
Download the PDF
- Open
/dashboard/billing. - Find the row for the payment you need.
- Select the download icon at the end of the row.
The browser downloads a PDF of the invoice, named by the invoice number. This is the file to attach to an expense claim or send to an accountant.
Open the hosted invoice page
- Open
/dashboard/billing. - Find the row.
- Select the external link icon, next to the download icon.
This opens the payment provider's hosted invoice page in a new tab. It shows the same invoice with the full tax breakdown, the billing details on record, and the payment status. Use it when you need to check a detail rather than file the document.
Which to use
| You want to | Use |
|---|---|
| File the invoice for expenses | Download the PDF |
| Check the tax breakdown | The hosted page |
| Confirm the payment status | The hosted page, or the status badge in the table |
| Send proof to a finance team | Download the PDF |
If an invoice is missing
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood.
The payment has not settled. The row appears once the payment completes. A pending payment may not be listed yet.
You are looking at the wrong account. Invoices belong to the account that paid. If your organisation has more than one, check you are signed in to the right one.
The payment was made through another channel. If a payment was arranged outside the dashboard, ask support to confirm which account it landed on.
If none of those apply, contact support from the Contact Us item with the date and amount, and they can locate it.
