What to do when you cannot sign in: how to get back into your account, what to have ready for support, and the Google-account case.

If you cannot sign in because you do not remember your password, there are two paths. Which one applies depends on how you created the account.
Accounts created with Google
There is no password to reset. Use the Google button on /login and sign in with the Google account you originally used.
If the Google sign-in succeeds but does not land on your account, you are signing in with a different Google address than the one the account was created with. Try the other address.
Accounts created with an email address and password
Password recovery is handled by support.
- Open the dashboard sidebar's Contact Us item, or email support from the address on the account. The contact address is
support@lightningbytes.com. - Write from the email address that the account uses, so support can match the request to the account.
- State that you need a password reset.
Support verifies the request against the account before acting, which is why writing from the account address matters.
Important
There is no self-serve reset screen yet. There is no "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page, and no reset email is sent automatically. Recovery currently goes through support. Do not wait for an email that will not arrive.
Before you write
Two details speed this up.
Which email address the account uses. If you have several addresses, name the one you believe is on the account.
Whether you created the account with Google. If you did, say so, and the answer is the Google path above rather than a reset.
After the reset
Once you are back in, set a password you can store safely, and review Account Security. If you believe someone else has been using the account, rotate the password and the proxy sub-user credentials as well, since those are separate secrets.
