Log In and Out

Signing in with an email address and password or with Google, where you land afterwards, and how to log out safely from the dashboard.

Last updated

The sign-in screen is at /login.

Sign in with an email address

  1. Open /login.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Select the sign-in button.

Sign in with Google

Select the Google button. You are sent to Google, and returned to the dashboard once you approve. Use this only if you created the account with Google, or if the account was linked to that Google address.

Where you land after signing in

You are taken to the dashboard. If a part of the site sent you to sign in first, you are returned to where you were heading rather than to the dashboard home. For example, a link to a product page resolves back to that page once you have signed in.

For safety, only destinations inside this site are honoured. A link that tries to send you to another site is ignored and you land on the dashboard instead.

Log out

The sidebar has a user block at the bottom showing the signed-in email address. The log-out control is there. Logging out ends the session on that browser.

Log out when:

  • You are on a shared or public computer.
  • You are handing the machine to someone else.
  • You are troubleshooting a session problem and want to start clean.

Note

Logging out only affects the browser you are using. Sessions on other devices stay active. If you need to end access everywhere, change your password, which invalidates other sessions. See Account Security.

If you cannot sign in

  • Wrong password. Use the Reset Your Password article.
  • The page keeps returning you to sign in. Check that cookies are allowed for this site; the session is stored in a cookie.
  • You signed up with Google but there is no password. Use the Google button, not the email form.
